Water Baptism

Osceola Community Church practices after a person has made the decision to follow Christ. Water Baptism also known as Believer's Baptism is a sign of an inward change. Baptism by immersion is a great way to profess your own faith to Jesus Christ. When Peter preached before thousands on the day of Pentecost he spoke of Baptism highly: "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." Acts 2:38.

The early church thought baptism was so important they fasted before getting baptized. This was because they knew the power of public commitment. They prayed for people while still in the baptistry dipping wet that the power of the devil, with all his addictions and bondages, would be broker forever. We will pray that the Holy Spirit overwhelms you with Christ's love and power.
